New Cuban passport law of July 2023
On July 1, 2023, a number of regulations concerning Cuban passports came into force, as can be read in this note from the MINREX. Among other things, it was determined to extend the validity of the ordinary passport. By means of this measure, the extension of the passport is eliminated and it becomes a 10-year validity for Cuban citizens aged 16 and over. For children under 16, the validity of the passport is 5 years. Please also note that the Cuban passport is personal and non-transferable.
Another measure that entered into force with the law is that of the citizens born in Cuba who left the country before 31 December 1971. They had to apply for the HE11 Visa before, but now it is no longer necessary. The Cuban passport will only be required to enter Cuba.

Payments must be made by Postal Money Order (United States Postal Mail - USPS) or through the checks of the Cuban consular agencies, and the concepts must be paid in separate payments. The check must show the procedure you want to request.

- Photocopy of the main page with your personal data on the expired passport or close to defeat (issued from 1 January 2010).
